Vista Unified School District hired psychologist B.J. Freeman as a consultant in the
Peters case.  It was Dr. Freeman's professional opinion that the school had an
obligation to provide services to the boy, but JOHN HANNAMAN, Director of Special
Education Services for VUSD, did not want to do that.

So Daniel Shinoff sued Freeman because she wouldn't testify as VUSD wished her to
testify in the Peters case.

Why didn't he advise the district to follow the law?  Perhaps Shinoff is so
accustomed to being able to pay off expert witnesses to say what he wants them to
say, that he forgot that suborning perjury is a felony.  Or maybe he didn't forget.
He's not stupid.  He thought it was just the way things are done: schools are above
the law, and so are their lawyers.  (Apparently it is the way things are done in
schools, but it's still a felony.)
Vista Unified School District v.
B.J. Freeman

When VUSD couldn't get Dr. Freeman to perjure
herself, they sued her.
"...Dr. Freeman
was to support
the school
in
following her
assessments..."

From Daniel Shinoff/Gil Abed's August 2004 Case Management Statement
Stutz, Artiano Shinoff & Holtz used the courts
for purposes of intimidation

Stutz attorneys Dan Shinoff and Gil Abed sued Freeman on behalf of
VUSD in an effort to force her to lie under oath in the
Peters case.
Stutz and VUSD perpetrated a faud on the court when they filed this lawsuit.

In fact, Freeman was perfectly willing to testify.  She simply didn't want to
lie.  The district wanted Freeman to say that a student whom she had
tested did
NOT need services, after she had written a report stating that
the child
DID require services.
